For us by us. PHACE THE YOUTH is a Gen-Z focused Freedom of Speech platform that is using media as a solution to the problems media has created. Through our IRL interaction, clothing line and content we create a platform that develops active activism. A platform for unconventional ideas. A platform powered by REAL PEOPLE.
A NOTE FROM PHIA
Phace The Youth is about being nosy, as a harmlessly nosy individual this felt right. In February 2018, I think much of Gen-Z transitioned into the real world.
The Parkland High School shooting maimed our innocent world views, I realized how discounted I was from the country I was living in. As a child of immigrants and someone who grew up with the world on my screen, I was so detached from the world around me, and this goes for much of my Generation.
As the nationwide Gun Control debate occurred, this realization grew even farther. I had never and still have never seen a gun in my entire life, How could there possibly be more guns than people in the US.
As I said nosy, so I HAD to know why people owned guns, where they owned guns, why people hated guns and were calling for a ban. I dug for all of the info I could get, drafted an email, invited NRA members, people affected by gun violence and hosted our first PHACE OFF. Since then we’ve been changing political narratives and divisiveness one conversation at a time.
The Future is in the Hands of Gen Z
Gen-Z accounts for about 61 million of the US population.
In the 2016 election 70% of first time eligible voters were not contacted by any party
We need access to information and political insights.
We move more than older demographics.
We are less likely to have drivers licenses and forms of identification.
We are preoccupied of balancing life and school and obligations.
